When is it time to start shopping for Christmas? Such a question can be a mind-numbing endeavor for many.

To shop for a favorite golfer, the close of the peak golf season often marks the beginning of some of the best deals of the year for both golf gear and equipment. That is certainly the case here at Aspen Lakes.

Aspen Lakes has discounted all of its apparel 20 percent. That includes gear by many of the biggest names in golf, such as Nike and Adidas. More than that, all golf clubs are marked down at least 10 percent, and sometimes even more.

A particularly good deal is on Nike Covert drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids. While supplies lasts, each Nike Covert club is $89, including the drivers which originally retailed for $299.

“It is a really great price,” said Rob Malone, director of golf at Aspen Lakes.

Soon, Aspen Lakes will offer its best deal of the year on golf, too. Beginning after Thanksgiving, Aspen Lakes will once again offer its $49 gift card good for one round played anytime of the year.

That marks a significant discount from the $75 summer peak rate to play Aspen Lakes, one of the best regarded golf courses in the state of Oregon.

“We really do mean that you can play anytime next year,” Malone said. “It doesn’t matter if it is Saturday at 9 in the morning or Sunday at 5 in the afternoon.”

A tradition at Aspen Lakes, the card has become a popular option for gift-givers who know for sure one thing that their favorite golfer will love: the gift of golf itself.

The pro shop is open daily through Nov. 16. After that it will be open Thursday through Sunday.
